Background

Syamsul graduated from UiTM with LL.B (Hons) in 2008 and is an Advocate and Solicitors of the High Court of Malaya with expertise in general litigation. He was called to the Malaysian Bar on May 2009 -and commenced his practice with Messrs Azmi &Associates, a full-service law firm based in Kuala Lumpur. He was attached to the Litigation & Arbitration Group with his last post as a Senior Associate.

He left Azmi & Associates in October 2013 to continue with his practice with another Kuala Lumpur based legal firm, Messrs Jasbeer, Nur & Lee. Syamsul left Messrs Jasbeer, Nur & Lee in early 2015 to join Messrs Azwar & Partners as its Litigation Partner. Syamsul has then set up his own legal practice in Messrs Azhar Aziz & Associates beginning 01.02.2019. Syamsul then obtained his Post Graduate Diploma (PgDip.) in International Dispute Resolution with Queen Mary University of London in 2023.

• A complex multiple parties claim in the High Court amounting to RM500mil which includes application for mareva injunction.
• Multiple shareholders disputes including for return of shares.
• Arbitration proceedings.
• Claims in the High Court for fraudulent insurance schemes.
• Claims in the High Court for breach of fiduciary duty of directors.
• Claims in the High Court for fraudulent transfers of land.
• Claims in the High Court for fraudulent notice of assignment of a banking facility.
• Claims in the High Court by trustee corporation amounting to RM130mil.
