Background

Suhaimi Saad graduated from UiTM with Bachelor ofLegal Studies (Hons) in 2007 and Bachelor of Laws(Hons) in 2008. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in November 2009. Suhaimi then undertook the Post Graduate Diploma in Syariah & Practice (Hons) with UiTM and graduated in 2010.

He then pursued and graduated with a Master of Laws(LLM) from University of Malaya in 2016. Suhaimi received his Syariah credential and was admitted as Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya & Labuan's Syarie Lawyer in 2012, State of Selangor's Syarie Lawyer in 2018 and Pahang's Syarie Lawyer in 2022.

His core practice areas being general and banking litigation, Suhaimi has acted fora myriad of banks, financial institutions and registered societies involving debt restructuring, breach of contract and execution of judgment. Being a qualified Syarie counsel, Suhaimi has attended proceedings in the Syariah High Court and Syariah Appeal Court including for hadhanah, harta sepencarian and matrimonial proceedings. He is also well-versed in the drafting of letter of administration, wills and hibah. Suhaimi joined Azhar Aziz & Associates as a Partner in April 2023.

• Successfully obtained a judgment in a landmark case in the High Court and Court of Appeal involving tortious action and defamation (Mohammad Yazid Lim Mohamad Aziz & Anor v Mohd Javerd Mohd Nizar [2014] CLJU 1841)
